Dear Sir,
We beg to solicit permission to issue
privately an additional 80,000 shares of £l each in our Syndicate in the following circumstances:
The Syndicate was registered in December, 1916
with a capital of £20,000 for the purpose of taking up
trading and development work over a very wide field
in French Indo-China,and of opening up a highly lucrative
field for British trade and industry which, before the
war,had been to a very large extent in the hands of the
Germans.
The objects we have in view have been welcomed
and the success already attanined has been recognised
both by the French Colonial Authorities in Paris
and the Governor General in French Indo-China and as
a result of a variety of propositions sub mitted
to us by our General Manager in the Colony, the
immediate consideration of which in British interests
is imperative, the issue of fresh capital has become
urgently necessary.
Our activities cover extensive trading in all
its branch es,and through our intermediary and
influence there is an exceptional opening for British
manufactures of practically every kind, including
